Unlearned Hand Says "Yikes" - Nation Shudders

Unlearned Hand, from what I've gathered one of the premier 'idiot blogs' on the net, has recently shown a map of the US with Hurricane Isabel's current location and potential ascent into the East Coast with the comment, "Yikes," above the map. I don't believe I have ever heard a possible natural disaster summed up quite like that - with such raw feeling and unbridled emotion. If only magazines like Newsweek or Time could have taken leads from Unlearned Hand when their initial coverage of 9/11 took place. I recall the magazines with the devastating pictures of the toppled WTC buildings on the covers.... but can you even imagine the impact these magazines would have had on its readers had the word 'Y I K E S' been at the top? I shiver just to imagine.
